Border Crossing:  Customs and Immigration Information 

Citizens or the United States must have a passport, passport card, or enhanced drivers license to participate in tours that cross the United States/Canada border by land.  Visa/passport requirements vary for citizens of other countries.

Trip Cancellation and Travel Accident Insurance: 

For your protection we strongly recommend that you purchase Trip Cancellation and Travel Accident Insurance.  However, no representation or description of the insurance made by our staff constitutes a binding  assurance or promise about the insurance. 

Deposit: 

Niagara Falls Getaway, Hudson Valley Explorer, Wine 'n Dine Train, Vermont Dining Train & Saratoga Dining Train:  Full payment due when reservation is confirmed.  Rail & Sail:  A $250 per guest deposit secures your reservation.  Balance is due 90 days prior to departure.   Homestead Christmas:  A $250 per guest deposit secures your reservation.  Balance is due 60 days prior to departure.   Private Charter Railway Journeys:  A $2000 deposit secures your reservation.  Balance due 30 days prior to departure.

Cancellations:  Hudson Valley Explorer, Niagara Falls Getaway: 

All cancellations/changes are subject to a $50 per guest service fee.  In addition cancellations made less than 30 days prior to departure forfeit 10% of total fare; less than 14 days prior to departure forfeit 25%; less than  7 days prior to departure forfeit 50%; less than 4 days prior to departure and no-shows on day of departure forfeit 100%. Trip Cancellation, Baggage and Travel Accident Insurance is always recommended and available for purchase from our office.  A descriptive brochure will be mailed with all confirmations.

Cancellations:  Wine 'n Dine Train, Saratoga Dining Train & Vermont Dining Train:  All cancellations/changes are subject to a $15 per guest service fee.  No refunds for no-shows or cancellations made less than 5 days in advance of travel.

Cancellations:  Rail & Sail; Homestead Christmas:  All cancellations are subject to a $50 per guest service fee.  In addition cancellations made less than 75 days prior to departure forfeit 25% of total fare; less than 48 days prior to departure forfeit 50%; less than 30 days prior to departure forfeit 75%; less than 15 days prior to departure and no-shows on day of departure forfeit 100%. Trip Cancellation, Baggage and Travel Accident Insurance is always recommended and available for purchase from our office.  A descriptive brochure will be mailed with all confirmations.

All cancellations are subject to a $500 service fee.  In addition cancellations made less than 30 days prior to departure forfeit 25% of total charter fare; less than 4 days prior to departure and no-shows on day of departure forfeit 100%. Trip Cancellation, Baggage and Travel Accident Insurance is always recommended and available for purchase from our office.  A descriptive brochure will be mailed with all confirmations.

Conditions:

Railroad Passenger Services LLC (RPS) [adba Rail & Cruise Travel Center] acts only in the capacity of agents for the suppliers in all matters pertaining to hotel accommodations, sightseeing tours, dining, entertainment, and transportation whether by railroad, motorbus, motorcar, steamship, or plane and as such we shall not be liable for an injury, personal injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of any defect in any vehicle or through the acts or default of any company or person engaged in conveying the passenger, or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour(s), or otherwise in connection therewith. RPS reserves the right to withdraw a tour or any part thereof, to make alterations to the itinerary of any tour, or to substitute hotels and railroad cars, as RPS deems necessary or desirable. RPS reserves the right to establish a reasonable code of conduct for tour members. RPS reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of a tour at any time. RPS tour arrangements are non-transferable and only valid for the party originally issued to. No refunds will be granted for services not used by the tour member. All litigation must be brought in the courts serving Union County, New Jersey, USA.  All rates are in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise noted. SMOKING will not be permitted in railroad cars, motorbuses, nor at group meal sittings. The acceptance of any service provided as part of a RPS tour, or of any ticket or voucher, shall be deemed to be acceptance of and consent by the tour member to these conditions and the cancellation policy.
