Enjoy an wonderful dining experience when you travel aboard our unique Wine 'n Dine train. Board our classic Pullman Dining car "Epicurus" where all tables feature picture-window views of the scenic Hudson River Valley. As the train speeds along the east shore of the Hudson you'll be pampered with a delightful dinner and refreshing libations. Choose the full Hudson Valley experience and ride with us over 140 glorious miles to Albany or travel half-way up the Hudson to Poughkeepsie and stroll the fabulous new Walkway over the Hudson State Park...where a historic 212 feet high 1888 railroad bridge has been reincarnated as a walking trail affording wonderful views of the Catskills and the lush Hudson River Valley.

Dining aboard the Epicurus is an event as our chef prepares a savory meal for your dining pleasure. A traditional multi-course "dinner in the diner" is served restaurant-style complimented by fine railroad china, fresh flowers and snow white table linens. The chef's daily menu offerings allow a choice between at least three entree selections.

Travel in comfort free from crowds and traffic hassles and enjoy views you could never see from the highway. Awesome sights in the Hudson River Valley include West Point, Bannerman's Castle, Storm King Mountain, Bear Mountain, Hudson Highlands, stately mansions, massive bridges, and a myriad of picturesque sailboats, barges, tugboats and lighthouses. Special Note: Amtrak management insists they are will no longer be able to accommodate our operation. Therefore this will likely be the last season we will operate our Hudson Valley Explorer, Wine 'n Dine Train, Saratoga Dining Train and Vermont Dining trains. Travel now to avoid disappointment!

All dining car tables are adjacent to large clear picture windows and seat four guests. Food and beverage purchases in the Amtrak cafe car are by individual settlement.

*In place of returning directly to New York City, guests may choose to continue aboard the dining train to Saratoga Springs, Fort Edward(Lake George) or North Creek (via the Saratoga & North Creek Railway). Fare is then one-way; with no Amtrak return provided. North Creek passengers may upgrade to deluxe dome car seating for $15.

Northbound travel time: 1:15

All counter seats face river-view windows. Guests may return to New York City (Grand Central Station) aboard any Metro-North Railroad Hudson Line train. Through trains are scheduled (subject to change) departing Poughkeepsie at 5:40pm, 6:35, 7:40, 8:40, 9:40pm. Metro North travel time approximately: 1:45. Tickets may be purchased at the Poughkeepsie depot prior to boarding train. Current Saturday fares: Adults $15.75; Seniors $10.50; Children $8.00. Walkway over the Hudson State Park is a 20 minute walk or short taxi ride from the Poughkeepsie depot. Bridge is open daily (weather permitting) until sunset.
